New archers are encouraged to join a local archery club to receive coaching and gain experience. Once the person has their own equipment they are encouraged to attend a archery training weekend at Stoke Mandeville.

Training weekends number approximately 6 between October and April with coaching and advice given by dedicated archery coaches and other experts in their fields (physiotherapists, classifiers, management etc..) This is once again available from novice to elite level to help facilitate improvement.

Training weekends also provide an opportunity to establish links with other sports, and disability groups in preparation for World and European Events to help ensure good team spirit , which is essential for success at major championships.

Participation of the association is also seen at the Inter-Spinal Unit Games and the Junior Championships which are held annually at Stoke Mandeville.

A recent addition to the programme is the Invitation Archery Event which is held in July and incorporates the National Senior Championships.
