It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Hilton. David passed away suddenly in the early hours of Sunday 4th December. David had suffered along period of illness but was on the road to recovery. We are all deeply shocked with this news and are sure his many friends around the world join us in our condolences for his family at this tragic time.

David had been busy making arrangements for the 2012 Invitational Archery Event, at this stage we would like to ask that if you had already been in contact with him or were about to, that you bear with us whilst we assess the viability for us to take the reigns and run this event to the high standard you have come to expect.

It would be a lovely gesture to create a David Hilton Trophy to be presented at the BWAA Champs as a memorial to all of his hard work. x

Have just seen the news. David gave me a chance of a life time at last year BWAA Champs. It would be great if this could continue as a living memorial of his hard work and dedication to the sport. I only new him on the phone but he always gave me time, encouragement and the breaks that have allowed me to move on. God Bless
