This years Grand Prix ran from 19 - 22nd July saw 79 competitors from 9 countries take part. These were Great Britain, Germany, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine and China.

The original plan was for the competitors to have a practice day on 19th followed by 2 FITA 720 rounds on the 20th and 21st, with the head to head finals matches taking place on the 22nd. Unfortunately the Great British summer had other ideas. All went well for the practice day but things began to go downhill from the morning session on the 20th. The day started with heavy rain which became more persistant and torrential in nature. At the end of the 4th dozen the rain had become so heavy that a decision was made to take a pause in the shooting, hoping the worst of the rain would ease. This was not to be, shortly into this break the sky opened dropping even heavier rain this time joined by lightning. It was at this stage that the judges took the decision to halt the shoot on safety grounds.
The afternoon session fair little better. Though the lightning had by now passed and the rain eased somewhat worse was yet to happen. No sooner had the competitors warmed up and readied themselves than a waterway running adjacent to the field burst its banks flooding the shooting arena. There was no option but to halt the shoot and hope things would improve by the next day.
The following day, Saturday, saw the worst of the flooding gone and the shooting arena in a fit, if waterlogged, state. This allowed those unable to shoot the previous day to shoot their first 720 round and the rest to finish the round they had started.
After a meeting between the organisers and Team captains it was decided to dropped the head to heads and shoot a second 720 round and use the combined results to declare the winners.
